DC53 is a high-strength and ductile universal cold working die steel, which is an improved version of SKD11 by Japan's Datong Corporation. DC53 completely overcomes the shortcomings of SKD11 in high temperature tempering hardness and toughness, and will have completely replaced SKD11 in high-precision molds.
Product characteristics:
1) Heat treatment hardness higher than SKD11
——After high-temperature tempering (520-530 ℃), the hardness can reach 62-63HRC, and DC53 completely surpasses SKD11 in strength and wear resistance.
2) Twice the toughness of SKD11
——The toughness of DC53 is particularly prominent in cold working die steel, and tools made with DC53 rarely experience cracks and cracking, greatly improving their service life.
3) Low residual stress after wire cutting processing
——After high-temperature tempering, residual stress is reduced, and cracks and deformation after wire cutting processing are suppressed.
4）The cutting and grinding properties exceed those of SKD11- DC53 has better cutting and grinding properties than SKD11. The use of DC53 can increase the lifespan of tool molds and reduce machining processes.
