Introduction of D2 die steel:

D2 steel is an alloy of iron, carbon and small amounts of other elements. D2 steel can be used to manufacture cold working dies with large cross-section, complex shape, high impact force and high wear resistance.

Chemical composition of D2 die steel:

Chemical composition (%): Carbon C: 1.40～1.6 Silicon Si: ≤0.60 Manganese Mn: ≤0.60

            Sulfur S: ≤0.030 Phosphorus P: ≤0.030 Chromium Cr: 11.50～13.00

            Nickel Ni: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.25 Copper Cu: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.30

            Vanadium V: ≤1.00 Molybdenum Mo: 0.70～1.20

D2 die steel use:

It is suitable for complex and deformable tool steel, various cold stamping dies with high wear resistance and long life, cold shearing blades, thread rolling boards, cold extrusion forming dies, and weighing dies for high-hardness materials, etc.
